What is underlay and why is it important? It is important to fit underlay underneath carpets as it provides support and protection for your carpets. The cushioned layer of rubber or foam provides an effective barrier against cold and damp from the floor, adds warmth and comfort underfoot, reduces noise and extends the life of your carpet.

Underlay is not a necessary requirement for all types of flooring so please feel free to speak to one of our experienced sales staff for more information about the type of flooring you have, or are thinking of purchasing.
